In force from 1 November 2026

Version 1.2 replaces codes with free access granted to an email address, describes what can be done in the App without Premium, and provides a full refund when withdrawing from a Subscription within 14 days. Until 31 October 2026 version 1.0 applies. Version 1.1, announced for 10 November 2026, did not enter into force; its changes are included in version 1.2.

ParentLoop Terms of Service

Covering the ParentLoop app for parents and the ParentLoop kids companion app.

Version 1.2 · in force from 1 November 2026
Basis: art. 8 of the Polish Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means · GDPR · Consumer Rights Act · Digital Services Act (DSA)

§ 1

Definitions

  1. In these Terms:
    • App — the ParentLoop mobile application for parents, available for iOS and Android.
    • ParentLoop kids — a separate mobile application for the Child, with a restricted set of features.
    • Service — the service provided electronically by the Provider through the App and ParentLoop kids.
    • Provider — the entity identified in § 2.
    • User (Parent) — a natural person holding an Account who uses the App in connection with the exercise of parental authority or custody over a Child, as well as an adult invited by a Parent to help care for the Child (guardian), within the scope of permissions granted in the App.
    • Account — the set of data and settings assigned to a User, secured by an email address and password.
    • Child — a minor whose data the User enters into the App.
    • Child Access — the Child's access to ParentLoop kids, obtained by pairing the Child's device with a QR code generated by a Parent, and revocable by a Parent (§ 7).
    • Family — a group of Accounts using the App together, with the data of every Child in that group. Paid entitlements attach to the Family, not to an Account and not to a single Child.
    • Content — data, messages, files and information the User enters into the App.
    • Trial Period — 62 days (two months) during which a Family uses the full feature set with no payment and no payment details. Granted once per Family (§ 10(2)).
    • Premium — a Family's access to the Service in its full feature set after the Trial Period ends, through a Subscription or free access granted by the Provider (§ 10(6)). Premium is not an upgrade from a free plan — the Service has no free plan (§ 10(1)).
    • Subscription — the paid entitlement to Premium, bought in a Store for the billing period chosen at purchase and renewing automatically for another period of the same length until cancelled.
    • Payer — the Parent who bought the Subscription on their own Store account. Only the Payer can cancel it (§ 10(4)).
    • Store — the Apple App Store or Google Play.
    • Consumer — a natural person entering into a contract not directly connected with their business or profession.
    • Sole trader as consumer — a sole trader entering into a contract of a non-professional character, to whom consumer provisions apply under Polish law.
    • Privacy Policy — the document describing the processing of personal data, available at parentloop.pl/privacy.
    • DSA — Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 of the European Parliament and of the Council on a Single Market for Digital Services (Digital Services Act).
§ 2

Provider and contact

  1. The Provider is ParentLoop sp. z o.o. (a Polish limited liability company), with its registered office in Warsaw, ul. Grójecka 210, 02-390 Warszawa, Poland, entered in the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register kept by the Sąd Rejonowy dla m.st. Warszawy w Warszawie, XII Wydział Gospodarczy Krajowego Rejestru Sądowego (District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw, 12th Commercial Division of the National Court Register) under KRS number 0001272931, NIP 7011335937, REGON 545952514, share capital PLN 5,000.00.
  2. The Provider may be contacted, including on complaints and data protection matters, at kontakt@parentloop.pl and by post at the address in paragraph 1.
  3. The address in paragraph 2 is the point of contact for Member State authorities, the European Commission and Users within the meaning of Articles 11 and 12 of the DSA. Communication may be in Polish or English.
§ 3

Nature and scope of the Service

  1. The Service provides the User with a tool for organising the care of a Child — by Parents living apart or together, and by a Parent raising the Child alone.
  2. The Service includes, in particular:
    • a shared custody calendar, schedule and record of handovers;
    • proposing schedule changes and having them accepted by the other Parent;
    • messaging between Parents;
    • a record of child-related expenses and settlements between Parents;
    • tasks for Parents and chores for the Child, including pocket money;
    • the Child's lesson plan, typed in by a Parent or read from a photo;
    • storage of the Child's documents;
    • the Child's health information and emergency card — an optional feature requiring separate consent (§ 14(3));
    • the Child's profile, height and weight measurements, and preferences;
    • a record of trips and birthday planning;
    • in-app notifications and push notifications, including reminders that one of the Child's documents is about to expire;
    • export of the User's data;
    • the Child's access through ParentLoop kids (§ 7).
  3. The Service is provided in Polish and English. The App's default language follows the language set on the User's device. Correspondence with the Provider, including complaints, may be conducted in Polish, English, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian or Ukrainian; the Provider replies in the language of the correspondence.
  4. The Provider may develop, change and withdraw individual features. Restricting or withdrawing a feature material to the use of the Service follows the procedure in § 16.
§ 4

Technical requirements

  1. Using the Service requires:
    • a mobile device running iOS 16.4 or later, or Android 8.0 or later;
    • internet access;
    • an active email address;
    • an account with the relevant Store in order to install the App.
  2. Some features require permission to access the camera, photos or notifications. Declining a permission limits only those features. Opening documents and downloading the data export require a screen lock on the device (§ 9(3)).
  3. The Provider may carry out necessary maintenance and update work causing temporary interruptions to the Service, where possible at night. Planned interruptions are announced in advance in the App. Maintenance interruptions do not exclude or limit the rights of a Consumer or a sole trader treated as a consumer relating to a lack of conformity of the Service with the contract (§ 12(4)).
  4. The Provider gives notice of updates to the App and ParentLoop kids, including security updates, that are needed to keep the Service in conformity with the contract, and supplies them through the Stores or directly in the App for as long as the Service is provided. If the User does not install such an update within a reasonable time, the Provider is not liable for a lack of conformity resulting solely from the missing update, provided it gave notice of the update and of the consequences of not installing it, and the failure to install was not caused by errors in the installation instructions (art. 43k(3) and (4) of the Polish Consumer Rights Act).
  5. The Provider publishes information about the particular risks of using services provided electronically, and about how the Service protects data, at parentloop.pl/safety.
§ 5

Contract and Account

  1. The contract is concluded when the Account is created and the email address confirmed.
  2. Creating an Account requires accepting these Terms and reviewing the Privacy Policy. Acceptance is recorded together with its date and the document version.
  3. An Account may be created by a person who is at least 18 years old.
  4. The User provides true and current information. The Account is personal; sharing login credentials with third parties is not permitted.
  5. The contract is concluded for an indefinite term.
§ 6

The Child and the other Parent

  1. The User adds a Child to the App on their own and may invite the other Parent to share that Child's data.
  2. The Provider does not verify parentage, parental authority, court orders or the scope of custody. The Provider has no means of establishing who holds rights in respect of a Child.
  3. By adding a Child and inviting the other Parent, the User represents that:
    • they hold parental authority or custody over the Child to an extent entitling them to process the Child's data, and if they are a guardian invited by a Parent — that they help care for the Child with that Parent's knowledge;
    • sharing the Child's data with the invited person is lawful and consistent with any orders concerning the Child;
    • the Child's data they enter is true.
  4. Once the invitation is accepted, both Parents have access to the Child's data within the permissions granted. That scope is visible in the App. Either Parent may correct the Child's name and date of birth on their own; the other Parent is notified in the App.
  5. The Provider does not adjudicate disputes between Parents — in particular disputes about the content of entries, the amount of expenses, how care was carried out, or which Parent is right.
  6. Joint use of the Child's profile in the App is voluntary. Disputes concerning the scope of parental authority or the interpretation of court orders are resolved by the competent court; the Provider does not examine them. A Parent who no longer wishes to share data with the other Parent (in particular following a change in legal status, a contact ban order, or in a conflict) may at any time download a copy of their data (§ 14(4)), revoke the Child's access to ParentLoop kids (§ 7(6)), and delete their Account (§ 13(1)). Deleting one's own Account does not, however, delete the Child's profile or previous entries if the other Parent retains access to them (§ 13(3)). If the other Parent has lost custody over the Child or is violating a court order, this may be reported to the Provider under paragraph 7.
  7. A person who claims that a User is processing a Child's data in the App without a legal title (in particular following a final deprivation of parental authority or where they hold no right of custody over the Child — GDPR Art. 17(1)(d)), or that a User is using the App to harass, threaten, or breach a court order (§ 8(1)), may report this with justification to the address in § 2(2). When attaching a copy of a court order or other official document to the report, its statement of reasons, PESEL numbers, and rulings unrelated to parental authority, custody, or a no-contact order should be covered; once the document is verified, the Provider permanently deletes its copy, keeping only a note of the date and case reference. The Provider acknowledges receipt of the report without delay, informs within 7 days how it will be handled, and reviews it under § 8(6); where the matter requires explanations or documents from that User — without delay upon receiving them, no later than within 14 days. Where a threat to the safety of the Child or a Parent is substantiated by an official document, the Provider may temporarily suspend that User's access to the Child's data while the report is being reviewed. The Provider does not conduct evidentiary proceedings in family matters, but upon a credible and documented report may — on the terms and with the guarantees of reasoning and appeal in § 8(5)–(8) — block that User's access to the Child's data, suspend their Account, or delete the unlawfully processed data of the Child. If a report on the basis of which the Provider temporarily suspended access proves unfounded, the Provider grants that User's Family free Premium access for a period equal to the suspension (§ 10(6)).
  8. The Provider does not give one Parent the other Parent's data beyond what is visible to them in the App. The Provider discloses data to courts and other authorities only where the law requires it, and only to the extent the request covers.
§ 7

ParentLoop kids — the Child's access

  1. ParentLoop kids is a separate application intended for a Child aged 7 to 16.
  2. The Child does not enter into a contract with the Provider and makes no declarations of intent in ParentLoop kids. The Parent who, within their custody, creates the Child Access, makes it available to the Child and is responsible for the Child's use of it remains the party to the contract.
  3. Child Access is created by a Parent from within the App: the App shows a one-time QR code, valid for 10 minutes, which the Child scans in ParentLoop kids. The Child gives no email address, phone number or password. Pairing a device again, for example after reinstalling, requires a new code from a Parent.
  4. A Child has one active access, shared across both households.
  5. The data visible to the Child is restricted. The Child has no access to, in particular, messages between Parents, the Child's documents, the Child's health data, or financial settlements between Parents.
  6. Either Parent entitled to the Child's data may revoke Child Access at any time. Revocation is immediate: from that moment the Child's device no longer fetches data from the server, and anything already displayed disappears the next time ParentLoop kids is refreshed or closed.
  7. Child Access may be created by either Parent entitled to the Child's data; the other Parent's agreement is not required. The other Parent is notified in the App that Child Access has been created and may revoke it under paragraph 6.
  8. The Parent supervises the Child's use of ParentLoop kids appropriately to the Child's age and maturity.
  9. The rules for using ParentLoop kids are explained to the Child in ParentLoop kids in plain language suited to their age.
§ 8

Rules of use. Prohibition on unlawful content

  1. The User must not supply unlawful content, in particular content infringing personal rights, inciting violence, containing threats, or serving to harass the other Parent or the Child.
  2. It is also prohibited to:
    • use the Service in a way that disrupts its operation or circumvents its safeguards;
    • automate access to, reproduce or decompile the App beyond what statute permits;
    • enter third parties' data without a legal basis.
  3. The App runs an automatic profanity filter. The filter masks profanity in messages between Parents before they are saved; it does not delete messages or restrict the Account. The filter covers only content the Provider can technically access and does not constitute moderation in the sense of human review.
  4. End-to-end encrypted content (§ 9) is not, and technically cannot be, read or moderated by the Provider.
  5. Where paragraph 1 or 2 is breached, the Provider may, proportionately to the breach: notify the User, restrict selected Account features, suspend the Account, or terminate the contract under § 13(5). These decisions are made by a person.
  6. Anyone may report content they consider unlawful or contrary to these Terms to the address in § 2(2), and a message between Parents also through the reporting feature in the App. A notice should explain why the content is unlawful, identify the content, give the notifier's name and email address, and state that it is made in good faith. The Provider acknowledges the notice, handles it diligently and objectively, and informs the notifier of its decision and of the possibility to challenge it (Article 16 DSA). A report of content that may concern the sexual abuse of a child does not need to include a name or email address (Art. 16(2)(c) DSA).
  7. When restricting Account features, suspending the Account or terminating the contract, the Provider gives the User a statement of reasons: the facts, the provision of these Terms or of law relied on, whether automated means were used in reaching the decision, and information on the right to appeal (Article 17 DSA).
  8. The User and the notifier may appeal a decision taken under paragraph 5 or 6 within 14 days, to the address in § 2(2). The appeal is reviewed by a person within 14 days. An appeal does not affect the right to bring a claim before a court.
§ 9

Encryption and keys

  1. The Child's documents are end-to-end encrypted. The Child's health data is end-to-end encrypted automatically (or when switched on manually in the App's settings) once all Parents authorised in the App to access that Child's health data have the key — the key is created automatically on the device of a Parent who has a document key and has given health-data consent (§ 14(3)), and passing it to another Parent requires confirming the key fingerprint; until all authorised Parents have the key, health data is stored without end-to-end encryption and the App shows who it is waiting for. The key needed to read encrypted content is held on the authorised Parents' devices, not by the Provider. Messages between Parents are not end-to-end encrypted — the Privacy Policy explains why. The Child's PESEL number, if a Parent enters it, is always end-to-end encrypted, and height and weight measurements are encrypted together with the health data.
  2. The Provider has no access to encrypted content and cannot recover it. Losing access to every device holding the key, without first securing the key in the way the App describes (a written-down code or a key backup in a passkey), means permanent and irreversible loss of access to that content.
  3. The User undertakes to protect the device against unauthorised access, in particular with a screen lock. Before opening any document and before any data export (paragraph 6), the App requires identity confirmation (by face recognition, fingerprint or the device passcode). Without a device lock set, it is not possible to open a document or download an export in the App; a copy of the data can then be obtained on request sent to the address in § 2(2).
  4. The App remembers the other Parent's public key on first contact. If that key changes, document sharing is suspended until the User confirms the change. This is a safeguard against impersonation, not a fault.
  5. The other Parent's ability to read a document they have already been given access to cannot be revoked unilaterally. Only the Parent who added a document can delete it; if that Parent has lost access to the Child's data (for example by deleting their Account), the other Parent can delete it. A document is deleted together with its whole entry.
  6. The data export (§ 14(4)) contains the Child's documents decrypted on the User's device, in a ZIP file. The file is not encrypted — the User is responsible for where they save it and whom they give it to.
§ 10

Paid services, the Trial Period and Premium

  1. The Service has no free plan and will not have one. Until billing is introduced the Service is provided free of charge in its full feature set; that does not create a free plan, nor any right to use the Service without payment after that day. Once billing is introduced and the Trial Period ends, using the full scope of the Service requires Premium — that is, a Subscription or free access granted by the Provider.
  2. The Provider grants every Family a Trial Period covering the full feature set and lasting 62 days (two months). For Families created after the day billing is introduced, the Trial Period runs from the day the Family is created. For Families created earlier, it starts to run only on the day billing is introduced, and until that day the Service is free of charge (paragraph 1), so that no Family loses access the moment charging begins. The Trial Period is granted by the Provider: it involves no Store transaction and no payment details, it ends without a charge, and it does not turn into a Subscription by itself. A Subscription can be bought only from the day after the Trial Period ends — the App does not allow a purchase during the Trial Period, and once it ends, the ability to add and change data in the App is paused until a Subscription is bought or free access is granted (paragraphs 3 and 6). The first payment is therefore taken no earlier than 62 days (two months) after the day the Family is created or, for Families created before the day billing is introduced, after the day billing is introduced.
  3. After the Trial Period ends, a Family without Premium loses the ability to add and change data in the App. Without Premium, and without any payment, a User can still:
    • download a copy of their data, including documents decrypted on their device (§ 9, § 14(4));
    • view the Child's documents and delete those they may delete under § 9(5), and delete other entries to the extent the App allows;
    • delete the Account (§ 13(1)), request deletion of the Child's profile, remove another User's access to the Child and revoke Child Access (§ 7(6));
    • withdraw consents they have given (§ 14);
    • read the Privacy Policy and these Terms;
    • buy a Subscription or use free access granted by the Provider (paragraph 6);
    • use the Service in another Family that has Premium.
    Losing Premium does not cause loss of data already entered, nor of the ability to export it. ParentLoop kids on the Child's device continues to work, but actions by the Child that require a Parent's approval (for example approving a completed chore) wait for that approval until Premium is restored in the Family.
  4. Once billing is introduced:
    • Subscriptions are sold exclusively through the Stores under Apple's and Google's terms; the Store operator is the party to the payment transaction, collects the payment, accounts for any tax and issues the proof of purchase;
    • the price of a Subscription and the billing period are shown in the App and in the Store before purchase; prices include taxes, and the binding price is the one the Store shows at the moment of purchase. The billing periods on offer are shown in the App. A Subscription renews automatically for another period of the same length until cancelled, and the Store charges for the next period when it renews;
    • the Provider may offer a lower Subscription price to a set number of Families that buy one first, or to Families that buy one by a set date (the early-family price). The terms of the offer, including the number of places or the end date and the price, are shown in the App before purchase; whether a Family falls within the limit of places depends on the order of purchases. A Family that bought a Subscription at this price keeps it at every renewal, and also when buying again after a break — regardless of which Parent in that Family is the Payer and in which Store they buy. Raising this price requires the Payer's consent (§ 16(4));
    • the Premium entitlement is granted per Family — a payment by one Parent unlocks the full feature set for every Parent in that Family, however many Children it covers; a Parent who belongs to two Families has access only in the one that has been paid for. One Store account may at the same time pay for the Subscription of only one Family; a second Family may be paid for by another Parent belonging to that Family or by a Payer from another Store account;
    • only the Payer can cancel a Subscription, in the Store where it was bought; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. To stop a Subscription renewing for another period, the Payer cancels it in the Store’s subscription settings before the current period ends, within the time the Store’s rules allow (in the App Store, at least 24 hours before it ends). Deleting an Account does not cancel a Subscription — the Payer cancels it in the Store (§ 13(1));
    • if a Subscription is cancelled or lapses, every Parent in the Family keeps Premium until the end of the paid period, after which paragraph 3 applies; no data is deleted and it remains exportable.
  5. The Provider gives advance notice of the date on which charges are introduced under the procedure in § 16(2). From that day, a Trial Period runs for previously created Families in accordance with paragraph 2.
  6. The Provider may grant a User free access to Premium features for a set time or indefinitely, to the email address of their Account. If no Account with that address exists yet, the access turns on once the Account is created and the address is confirmed, provided this takes place within 90 days. The access also covers the other Parents in that User's Family. The terms of the access, in particular its duration, are stated by the Provider when it is granted. The access cannot be exchanged for money.
§ 11

Right of withdrawal

  1. A Consumer, and a sole trader treated as a consumer, may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason, by a statement sent to the address in § 2(2). The period runs from the conclusion of the contract and, for a Subscription, from the day it was bought. The Consumer and a sole trader treated as a consumer may use the model withdrawal form in Annex 1 to these Terms, but are not required to.
  2. Access to Premium under a Subscription turns on immediately once the Store confirms the purchase. For a monthly Subscription, the Service is fully performed only at the end of the paid period, and therefore after the withdrawal period has expired; unlocking Premium does not take away the right of withdrawal. In the event of withdrawal from the contract in respect of a Subscription within 14 days of the day it was bought, the Payer is entitled to a full refund of the fee paid, without any deduction for the period of Premium use up to the moment of withdrawal.
  3. Withdrawal from a free contract takes place by deleting the Account under § 13(1).
  4. A notice of withdrawal concerning a Subscription may be given either in the Store, under that Store's rules (the Store operator then refunds via the payment method used), or directly to the Provider at the address in § 2(2); a Store's rules do not limit statutory rights. When submitting a notice directly to the Provider, the Payer should also cancel the renewal of the Subscription in the Store settings, as the Provider may not be technically able to disable it on the Payer's account. Withdrawal terminates the Family's access to Premium under that Subscription immediately. Where the notice is given directly to the Provider, the Provider within 14 days of receiving it instructs a refund of the payment through the Store to the payment method used, and if the Store does not allow this (in particular the App Store) and the Store operator has not already refunded that payment — refunds the due amount, with the Payer's consent, by bank transfer to the account specified by them, without extra costs (art. 32(1) and (2) of the Consumer Rights Act). To identify the transaction, the Provider may ask the Payer for the proof of purchase received from the Store operator. In respect of withdrawal from a given payment, the Payer is entitled to a single refund — from the Store or from the Provider.
  5. Before deleting the Account, and after withdrawing from the contract as regards a Subscription also later, a Consumer and a sole trader treated as a consumer may download, free of charge and in a machine-readable format, a copy of the content they provided or created while using the Service (data export, § 14(4)).
§ 12

Complaints

  1. Complaints about the Service are sent to the address in § 2(2).
  2. To facilitate review of a complaint, it is recommended to state the User designation, the email address linked to the Account, a description of the irregularity, and the expected resolution. The lack of any of these elements does not affect the effectiveness of submitting a complaint.
  3. The Provider reviews the complaint and replies within 14 days of receiving it, to the User's email address or — where the complaint was submitted through another channel — on paper or another durable medium. Failure by the Provider to reply to a Consumer's or sole trader's complaint within this period means that the Provider has accepted it (art. 7a of the Consumer Rights Act).
  4. Where a digital service does not conform to the contract, a Consumer and a sole trader treated as a consumer have the rights set out in the Consumer Rights Act, in particular to demand that the service be brought into conformity and, failing that, a price reduction or withdrawal from the contract.
§ 13

Termination and deletion of the Account

  1. The User may delete their Account at any time and without giving a reason, from within the App. Deletion in the App is immediate and irreversible in the active database (database backups disappear after 7 days at the latest — Privacy Policy). The Account can also be deleted without the App, at parentloop.pl/delete-account: once the request is confirmed with the link in an email, the Account is deleted after 7 days, and until then the User can cancel the deletion. Deleting an Account does not cancel a Subscription bought in a Store — the Payer must cancel it in the Store (§ 10(4)). If the Account is deleted by the Payer of an active Subscription, the App reminds them of this requirement before deletion. If a Store charges for a period after the Account was deleted and the Store operator does not refund it, the Provider refunds it to the Payer on request within 14 days.
  2. Deleting the Account deletes the User's data and the data of any Child for whom the User was the only Parent using the App.
  3. The data of a Child the other Parent also has access to is not deleted — that Parent retains their own, independent entitlement to it. The personal data tied to the Account being deleted and that User's permissions to the Child's data are removed. Entries about the Child added by that User (for example events, expenses, documents) stay in the Child's profile for the other Parent. Messages the User sent stay in the other Parent's conversation without the sender's name, and the other Parent is notified that the Account was deleted — the Privacy Policy sets out the rules.
  4. Before deleting the Account, the User may download a copy of their data (§ 14(4)).
  5. The Provider may terminate the contract on 14 days' notice exclusively for the following good reasons: (a) a serious breach of the prohibitions set out in § 8(1) or (2); (b) finding under § 6(7) that the User is processing a Child's data without a legal title; (c) permanent cessation of the provision of the Service by the Provider — in such case with at least 30 days' notice, and the Payer shall be entitled to a proportional refund of the fee for the unused Subscription period. Where a breach creates a direct risk to the Child or the other Parent, the Provider may suspend the Account with immediate effect. In each of these cases the User receives a statement of reasons under § 8(7) and may appeal under § 8(8).
  6. A Child's data is locked when the Child reaches the age of majority. On that day the Child's health data and PESEL number are deleted; Parents with access to that data are notified in the App about 30 days beforehand. The rest of the Child's data remains available to read, export and delete for 3 months, and is then deleted.
§ 14

Personal data

  1. The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy.
  2. Creating an Account requires accepting these Terms, and adding a Child requires the statement referred to in § 6(3). The Provider processes ordinary Child data in order to provide the Service to the Parent, on the basis of a legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), on the terms specified in the Privacy Policy.
  3. Consent to processing the Child's health data is separate, optional, and is not a condition of using the Service. It is collected when the health section is first opened or when a document concerning the Child's health is added. Withdrawing it does not restrict access to other features; the effects of withdrawal on stored health data are set out in the Privacy Policy. A Parent gives this consent on the Child's behalf, as their legal representative.
  4. The User may at any time download a copy of their data in a machine-readable format and request its erasure. Both are available directly in the App.
  5. Marketing consents (email, push notifications, in-app messages) are optional, independent of one another, and may be withdrawn at any time.
§ 15

Liability and exclusions

  1. The Service is an organisational tool. It is not legal advice, mediation, expert opinion, a health service, or an emergency service.
  2. The Child's health information and emergency card are informational only. They do not replace medical records or contact with the emergency services. In a life- or health-threatening situation, call 112.
  3. The features concerning the Child's health serve only to store and share information entered by Parents. The App makes no diagnosis, does not recommend treatment or medication doses, and is not a medical device.
  4. Push notifications are delivered by third parties (Apple, Google); neither delivery nor timeliness is guaranteed. Notifications must not be relied on in urgent matters. This does not exclude the Provider's liability for notifications not delivered for reasons on the Provider's side.
  5. The Provider does not verify the truth of Content entered by Parents and is not responsible for it.
  6. The Provider does not warrant that a data export or App records will be accepted by a court or other authority as evidence of any particular content or date. The Provider does not operate qualified timestamping or any other trust service. The checksum attached to a conversation export only lets anyone check that the file has not been altered since it was generated; it is not an electronic seal or a timestamp.
  7. The Provider's liability towards Consumers and sole traders treated as consumers is governed by general law. Towards other Users, the Provider's liability is limited to the total fees paid for the Family to which the event giving rise to the damage relates, in the 12 months preceding that event, and excludes loss of profit. This limitation does not apply to damage caused intentionally.
  8. The Provider is not liable for non-performance or improper performance resulting from force majeure or from the User's own breach of these Terms. Towards a Consumer and a sole trader treated as a consumer, this does not exclude or limit liability under mandatory law, including liability for the conformity of the Service with the contract.
  9. Data read automatically from a photo — a receipt or a lesson plan — may contain errors; the User checks it before saving. Reminders about the validity of the Child's documents, including those connected with a trip, are an aid only: they rest on commonly published rules for selected countries, may be out of date, and do not replace checking the entry requirements with official sources and with the carrier. The absence of a reminder does not mean a document meets the requirements.
§ 16

Changes to the Terms

  1. The Provider may amend these Terms or the Service only for the following good reasons: (a) a change in the law, or a court judgment or an authority's decision, affecting the contract or the way the Service is provided; (b) the need to adapt the Service to technical changes, security requirements or the Stores' requirements; (c) development of the Service: adding features, changing existing ones, or withdrawing a feature whose upkeep would cost disproportionately much or would weaken data security; (d) preventing abuse and protecting Users, especially Children. An amendment may not involve any cost for a Consumer or a sole trader treated as a consumer (art. 43p of the Polish Consumer Rights Act). A change in the price of a Subscription does not follow this procedure — paragraph 4 applies. A change to existing features under point (c) serves to improve how they work, their security or their usability.
  2. The Provider gives at least 14 days' notice of an amendment to these Terms by email to the address on the Account and, once the App supports it, also by a message in the App, stating what is changing and when it takes effect. If a change to the Service materially and negatively affects access to it or its use, the Provider gives reasonable advance notice of it on a durable medium, stating what the change involves, when it takes place and the right in paragraph 3, second sentence (art. 43q(1) of that Act).
  3. A User who does not accept an amendment to these Terms may terminate the contract with effect from the date the amendment takes effect, by deleting the Account or by a statement to the address in § 2(2). If a change to the Service materially and negatively affects access to it or its use, a Consumer and a sole trader treated as a consumer may terminate the contract free of charge and without notice within 30 days of the change or of being told about it (art. 43q(2) in conjunction with art. 43o(5) and (6) of the Consumer Rights Act). In the event of such termination, the Payer is entitled to a refund of part of the Subscription fee in proportion to the unused billing period (art. 43o(5) and (6) in conjunction with art. 43q(2) of that Act). Not terminating within these periods constitutes acceptance. This does not apply to a change in the price of a Subscription (paragraph 4).
  4. An increase in the price of a Subscription requires the Payer's consent, given through the procedure the Store provides. Silence is not consent to an increase. Without consent the Subscription does not renew at the new price, and the Family keeps Premium until the end of the paid period, after which § 10(3) applies.
§ 17

Final provisions

  1. Matters not governed by these Terms are subject to Polish law. That choice does not deprive a Consumer of the protection of mandatory provisions of the country of their habitual residence. A Consumer may also bring proceedings against the Provider before the courts of the country where they are domiciled (Art. 18(1) of Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012).
  2. A Consumer may use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, in particular by applying to a permanent consumer arbitration court or to the regional trade inspectorate, and may seek free assistance from a district or municipal consumer ombudsman. Information is available from the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.
  3. These Terms are made available free of charge in the App and at parentloop.pl/regulamin in a form that allows them to be downloaded, stored and printed. ParentLoop kids says where the Terms can be found.
  4. The binding version of these Terms is the Polish one. Versions in other languages, including English, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian and Ukrainian, are for information only. However, where the Provider offers the Service to a Consumer habitually resident outside Poland in the language of that Consumer's country, and the version in that language is more favourable to the Consumer than the Polish one, the more favourable wording applies (art. 385 § 2 of the Polish Civil Code).
  5. These Terms in version 1.2 enter into force on 1 November 2026. Version 1.0 applied from 25 October 2026 to 31 October 2026 and is available at parentloop.pl/regulamin-1-0. Version 1.1, published with an entry-into-force date of 10 November 2026, did not enter into force; its text is available at parentloop.pl/regulamin-1-1.
